Elisabeth Herrera Asencio
Based on my experience I can say: intercultural relationships face more challenges than other couples.
What drives me
I am passionate about the diversity of people and the joy of growing through new perspectives. With a lot of life experience and sensitivity, I accompany and support you in processes of change. Find out how you can manage your intercultural relationship without losing yourself.
Life in an intercultural family
I was born in 1986 and grew up in the Lower Austrian Waldviertel region. Very soon I felt that I wanted to go out into the big, wide world. I am fluent in English, German and Spanish and I am still fascinated by other cultures today and enjoy getting immersed in them.
I have been in an intercultural relationship myself for more than 15 years and have experienced what it is like to start from scratch in a foreign country. I know what it means to overcome bureaucratic hurdles, having to reconcile different values and resisting pressure from outside.
As a mother of two girls (born in 2012 and 2016), I know the highs and lows of motherhood. I have been confronted with challenges that have taken me to my limits – and beyond. Based on these personal experiences and my expert knowledge, I can offer my clients sensitive and respectful counselling.
Counsellor with multiple qualifications
I have a wide range of training and extensive experience in education and couples counselling. With relevant further training in the field of differentiation-based relationship counselling, years of experience on a professional and personal level, I am your first point of contact for systemic couples counselling in an intercultural environment. This is where I have developed my profession, but also my passion to support and understand complex situations. Take advantage of my knowledge and empathy: Let me support you in the process of bringing more ease and joy into your relationship.
